Fungi Life Cycle
Have you ever wondered what the life cycle of fungi was? Well this text contains the answer!
First of all, a spore is released by a fully grown fungi, the spore then goes on to travel, to find a food source like bread, and then it lands on the food source, once it lands and starts to grow it cannot move anywhere else.
When the spore lands, it sinks its root like tubes into the food source, these tubes are called Hyphae. Once it starts to feed on the food source more Hyphae start to grow!
The Hypha will grow criss-crossed, and make a cobweb like substance called Mycelium. Mycelium is pretty much the main part of the fungi, but it is often hidden away from your sight.
The Fungi will soon grow itself, and release a spore and that spore will do exactly the same thing.
I have explained the life cycle of fungi, I hope you learned a lot from this explanation.
